Apryse's Android PDF SDK contains out-of-box UI and API that allow you to create real-time document collaboration apps easily. This will let many users view the same PDF, Office or image file at the same time across their Android devices and communicate via comments, highlights, signatures and other annotations.

This section will go through each component that is required to build your real-time document collaboration app. This includes:

* Handling incoming annotation data from the server
* Sending client annotation data to the server
* Customizing the annotation reply UI
* A Firebase backend example as well as a websocket server backend example
