# How can I take measurements on documents / diagrams / floor plans in Appian?

This is a common AEC (Architectural Engineering and Construction) use case. Enable `enableMeasurement` by setting it to true. From the ribbon drop-down in the top center of WebViewer, select `Measure` and use the measurement tools.
