# Documentation Collaboration on iOS

Discover how Apryse enables realtime collaboration with its API, supporting any back-end server for seamless integration. Learn how to use the Collaboration Sample app and connect to your own server f

Apryse includes full support for realtime collaboration, making it easy synchronize annotations and messages from multiple users on a central copy of a document.

The Apryse API was designed to support any back-end (central server), enabling realtime collaobraiton with pre-existing infrastructure or whatever is best for your project.

The sample app *Collaboration Sample*, included with the [.dmg download](https://docs.apryse.com/downloads/ios/dmg/PDFNet.dmg), demonstrates realtime collaboration using two different back-end servers: One uses a demonstration instance of Apryse's [WebViewer Server](/web/webviewer-server/wv-server-deployment.md) (distributed as a Docker container), and the other uses Google's [Firebase Realtime Database](https://firebase.google.com/products/realtime-database/).
