Where do I download a compatible JDK?

Install JDK 8 with binaries.

Install OpenJDK 8 with apt-get.

Install OpenJDK 8 with homebrew.

Alternatively, you could use Oracle's JDK 8 (note you may be prompted to create an Oracle account).
